CLC Weekly ⚖️ Balancing foodie fears.

Hi friends,

Shanah tovah!

Long time, no inbox. I’m so glad to be celebrating this Jewish New Year with a digital wave and the CLC letter relaunch. With this next cosmic turn, I’m embracing big change and weighing the fear of uncertainty vs the fear of regret.

In a move that, well, tracks, I quit my job at the end of September to give this work a chance. In an epically uncertain timeline, I’m realizing the only true constant in life is change. The most important work we can do is mitigating the climate crisis through collective effort. Stability is a temporal gift, not a guarantee. It’s up to us to reassess our values and believe in our ability to create change. We create stability through consistent action.

It’s with a Moo Deng fervor I believe we can move the needle–and it starts with our next meal. If you’re along for this plant-based, low waste evolution, stay in the loop with Closed Loop Weekly. Now, brightening up your inbox every Thursday.

What’s your autumnal New Year’s resolution?

This is the most comprehensive resource list I’ve found to help alleviate the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Read through and if you’re able to donate, provide material support, coordinate efforts, or just share, please do. Mutual aid work is more vital than ever.

Reflections on Rosh Hashanah from Jewish Voice for Peace. “The liturgy of the High Holidays instructs us to choose life. In the coming year, amidst a world filled with horror, may we turn our rage, our grief, and our despair into steadfast action. May we renew our dedication to the Palestinian freedom struggle. May we double down in our commitment to collective liberation. In 5785 may we choose life—so that all may live.”
