Hi fam,

Change is coming at CLC and I couldn’t be more excited to share! This space continues to be a platform for experimentation, creativity, and collaboration. I’m so appreciative of y’all’s support as we grow and take shape. In the next few weeks you can look out for a brand new site design, heirloom kitchen shop, and a plant-based meal planning membership to support your low impact living and help us continue to thrive. It’s all happening! Providing accessible resources that help make actual change is at the heart of what we do here. With that, I’d love to hear from you! What questions are you running into shifting your consumption habits? How can we support you?

This work exists so we can make meaningful changes collectively. Transitioning into sustainable, low impact habits takes intentional effort. We’re in this together, so let’s figure out how to help each other. One of the biggest ways we can make a difference is supporting local community efforts. Shouting out The Baltimore Compost Collective to empower local youth in learning about and diverting food waste. Read on for how to support them!

Send me your thoughts! Always happy to hear from you.

cinnamon apple spelt cake

Cinnamon Apple Spelt Cake

This recipe is perfect for those cozy winter dinner parties keeping you warm through spring. Seasonally inspired and filled with almond butter, whole wheat spelt, and lovely sliced apples, this cake is refined sugar free and makes use of all of those imperfect, bruised fruits you have rolling around.

The Baltimore Compost Collective

As an ex-Baltimorean I fully support this neighborhood compost project empowering youth in the city to learn about and divert food waste. They’re raising money for a new vehicle to collect community food scraps from customers. Help spread the good word!

Love this floral inspired composting Instagram account out of Rochester, NY. Can’t get enough compost can I? Who’d have thought food and plant scraps could look like a true arrangement? Might inspire you to get your own compost bin going.
