Hi fam,

If we’ve had the same kind of week you might be cherishing the moments you can catch just sitting, doing nothing. Maybe you’ve had a week of limited time and resources where your ability to make mindful choices feels stretched. Sometimes you just have to get it done and know that you will shift your habits to be better prepared in the future. For some of us, that’s our day to day–we don’t necessarily have the space to be conscientious. So how do we still keep to those habits when time is limited and our resources feel drained? Setting ourselves up for success ahead of time will help you avoid decision fatigue. It could be once a month or once a week where you sit down, make a plan or make lunch to bring to work. We build sustainability into our daily lives so it becomes a routine we don’t have to think twice on.

As I’ve learned, it’s an ongoing, iterative practice. It takes time to figure out a system. The best thing we can do for ourselves is have patience and approach each day with mindful intention. And at the end of this long week, take a moment to appreciate your effort. It matters.
