Closed Loop Weekly 🌶You are what you eat
June 26th, 2020
Hi fam,
I have to be honest. I haven’t been cooking much lately. When I have, it’s been a repeat of the same few dishes in rotation. (If you want to call the last two pickles and hummus dregs a dish, sure.) I feel uninspired by food for the first time in a while. There’s so much else going on in the world pulling at our attention that I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ve all been eating the same bowl of rice, beans, greens and too much hot sauce. But we still have to eat. We still need nourishment to fuel the movement. I’m reminding myself that just as our produce changes, there is a season to everything. We are laying seeds, growing fields of change, we will eat again, and love what we eat.
It’s ok if this moment feels different, if things have shifted. They have to. We are nourishing ourselves in a new way. So remember to take that in mindfully, be present with your consumption physically and emotionally. This is a new season, after all.
Sending light, love, and resilience.
