Closed Loop Weekly ⚖ The balancing act
Hi fam,
Things continue to remain shifty out… there. I’m trying to maintain balance and I hope y’all are finding some calm. This week, our friend Moji Igun, sustainability + small biz extraordinaire, offers us tangible routines we can implement into our day to day to cultivate mindfulness. You can download this free habit tracker she put together–it’s an awesome resource for all of us looking for guidance right now.
In order to show up, to do the work that matters, that changes the status quo, that makes this world safer for BIPOC and improves the health of our communities, we must take care of ourselves. Your power reaches infinitely further when you are properly nourished, mindful, and connected. It’s something I have to remind myself of on a regular basis. As much as I want to call secretly drinking leftover pickle juice from the back of the fridge because “probiotics” self care, it goes beyond that. Also, don’t worry about it.
Let’s take notice of how we’re feeling. That burn out? That’s real, and worthy of acknowledgement. Let’s set intentions this week so we may show up and continue to do great.
I see y’all, I appreciate everything you’re doing right now. Every small step adds up to make change.

Neighborhood food librariesI’m inspired by a thoughtful community project from @_thefirstbite in PDX. Similar to the local free libraries, she’s started a few drop boxes for non perishable foods for the taking! Send her a DM if you’d like to help out with this awesome community effort!
