An inspired post this week reminded me we can rage and still eat cake. Forever existing in the duality of doom scroll inducing news and moments of joy. We can linger in grief and appreciate quiet, delicious comfort. We contain multitudes and resilience lies in fiercely celebrating existence in an uncommon era. Whether that’s with fat dessert slices, dinner with friends, indulgent morning beverages, or otherwise, find time for culinary contrasts amidst the turbulence.

And stay resolute. As we march for change, protect our neighbors + friends–we mark this moment in constancy, steadfastness, and yes, in cake.
